This set delivers professional-grade precision for artists, textile designers, and craftspeople. Each item maintains structural integrity through repeated use, supporting both layered and single-application techniques with consistent, high-quality results.

Set consists of:

  • Banksia Branch F-BAN-004:  Add structure and flow to your artwork with this banksia branch stencil. Perfect for connecting elements and building balanced botanical compositions.
  • Banksia Double Flower F-BAN-005: Create bold Australian banksia flowers with ease. Perfect stencil for acrylic painting, mixed media, and botanical art. Ideal for focal points and large-scale floral compositions.
  • Banksia Leaves F-BAN-006: Structured banksia leaves designed to pair with floral elements. Ideal for creating cohesive botanical paintings.

The stencils are made from high-quality Mylar which delivers the durability and precision demanded by professional applications. The robust material will endure countless uses across diverse substrates including textiles, wood, and plaster. The non-porous surface requires minimal upkeep—see washing and care instructions below to keep achieving flawless results every time.

The combs are made from acrylic that is stronger and tougher than Mylar so it can be dragged across your work to make the beautiful movement lines that De uses in ocean and bird painting.

Made by: Marissa Wise
Material: Reusable Mylar

The external dimensions of the stencil are approximately 29cm tall and 20.5cm across - the size of an A4 sheet of paper.  Please note that very fine stencils such as this need to be handled with care to ensure it can be used many times.

Stencil Washing and Care Instructions

To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your stencil, please clean it immediately after use.

  • Remove excess medium
While paint or texture paste is still wet, gently scrape excess material from the stencil using a palette knife, working from the centre outward.
  • Immerse flat in water
Place the stencil flat into a tub of clean water.
Do not bend or fold the stencil.
  • Gently clean under water
While submerged, use a soft brush to gently dislodge remaining paint or paste.
    Avoid aggressive scrubbing.
  • Rinse thoroughly
Rinse under clean, running water until all residue is removed.
  • Dry flat
Lay the stencil flat or hang fully supported to dry. Ensure it remains flat while drying.
  • Do not crease
Creasing or folding will permanently distort the stencil.
Always use a tub large enough to allow the stencil to lie completely flat during washing.

Important Care Notes

  • Do not allow paint or paste to dry on the stencil.
  • Do not use hot water, solvents, or abrasive tools.
  • Proper care will ensure crisp results and a long working life.
